Past Recipients

In partnering with local non-profits, the JLSB aims to make its vision to improve the lives of at-risk children, youth and families in Santa Barbara a reality.

The organizations who apply should have programs that fulfill the mission and vision statements of the Junior League and align with our focus area of: Improving the lives of at-risk young women by educating and empowering them to reach their full potential while working to prevent exploitation and injustice in our community.

2023 Recipients:

$10,000 awarded to 7 agencies:

• Angel’s Foster Care for the Angels Baby Welcome Program
• Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center for the Children’s Equine Assisted Scholarship Fund
• CALM for the Childhood Trauma Treatment (CCT) program for children and families who are victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, or other forms of trauma
• The Turner Foundation for The Foundation House for transitional age youth (18-24) experiencing unstable housing 
• Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse for Trauma Specific Services for girls in CADA’s Restorative Justice Programs
• Solid Foundations for the Solid Crew Program for youth ages 5-11
• Court Appointed Special Advocates of SB County for the recruitment and training of two volunteers within the Child Advocacy Program

• Royal Family Kids of Santa Barbara (Mentoring Program Scholarship Fund) – $2,000
• Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation (Santa Barbara Public Library Delivers program) – $1,000

• Santa Barbara Teen Legal Clinic – $3,000 (Restorative Justice Project)
